The start of warmer days and survival of a long winter are certainly things worth celebrating, but these days, do you really need a reason? If you're looking for new spot to celebrate anything, need a night out amongst adults, or want a new place to bring your crew young and old, Five Dimes Brewery is your spot. The highly-anticipated grand opening of Westwood's hottest brewery is happening on the weekend of April 22-24, when Five Dimes will open its doors to the public and start tapping their flavorful beers.
Situated on the main strip of Westwood Ave., Five Dimes Brewery (formery the five-and-dime store) will offer eight beers on tap for the opening in its industrial-style rooms. Wood tables and bars fill the space, plus lounging couches and a stone fire place, as well as rooftop space to enjoy the cold brews in the warmer weather. Room for private events will be available, plus live music for a high-energy vibe so you can sit back and enjoy.
So what's on tap? Owner Chris Alepa's bringing a variety of beer for every preference. Choose from A Sunny Day IPA with fruit flavor, Beligan ale, a Pascack Pilsner and their nitro-infused Nickel Stout with coffee and chocolate undertones. Can't decide on your drink of choice? Try one of their flights, that will be available starting day 1. While they'll only be serving light snacks along with their beers, Five Dime's encourages visitors to use Westwood's booming dining scene to their advantage, and welcomes local food to be enjoyed inside the brewery along with the drinks. They're even brewing a rootbeer that can be paired with Stack Creamery's fresh scoops.
Expect a large crowd on opening weekend, but don't let that stop you from joining in on the celebration. With two floors spread out along the 3,000 square feet that includes a tasting room, there's plenty of space for all to enjoy. Five Dimes is guaranteed to be a fun and tasty addition to the Westwood community, and we'll cheers to that.
