Family Fun and Adventure at Pop in the City

Sponsored Post: Last call! Now is an ideal time to get your home ready for the cold winter months ahead with Leaf Free Home Improvement. Make sure to mention Bergen Mama when you book your appointment for a new roof, siding, or gutter system for $500 off of a new roof and $450 off of custom Leaffree gutters.

As fall sports begin to wind down and activities (temporarily) subside, you may finally find yourself with a little bit of free time. Of course, the kids will likely continue asking that age old question, "What are we doing this weekend?" With fall festivals also quickly coming to an end, now is an ideal time to venture out and enjoy some eye-popping NYC family fun that all ages can appreciate and enjoy.

The creative minds behinds The Worlds Largest Bounce House want you to have a ball at Pop in the City, an interactive installation in midtown Manhattan returning to NYC through November 17. Situated in the plaza on Broadway between 32nd and 33rd streets, Pop in the City offers an immersive afternoon or evening filled with adventure and fantasy. The custom-built pop-up features 120 feet of connected domes, each with their own interactive activities.

At the entrance, you'll encounter a huge slide that leads to an epic ball pit where you can "swim" among 500,000 clear balls, while surrounded by sights and sounds that encapsulate NYC. Make your way through the inflatable area decorated with all the things NYC is celebrated for — skyscapers, pizza, big apples and much more. As you continue, expect a glitterball dome (think: Studio 54), special light effects, and live entertainment on the performance stage such as musicans and DJs. Finally, you'll find the "Winter in the City" room, which brings an early NYC winter filled with snowballs, snowmen, and even real snow.

Pop in the City is open to people of all ages, but kids under 12 must have an adult with them. The experience lasts for 30 minutes, leaving plenty of time to grab lunch or dinner at a nearby restaurant like Heartland Brewery or Italian market Eataly, then play tourist for the day and visit the Empire State Building. Or, head to Candytopia, another super sweet family fun spot nearby.
