They say that it’s the early bird who gets the worm, but let’s face it: there aren’t many worms to be had in early February, and besides, moms are the ones who know how to knock off two birds with one stone, if you know what we mean! So, if you haven’t yet experienced the fun and wonder of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades annual Camp Fair, you’re in for a treat. Literally! Kids will enjoy arts and crafts, face painting, a bounce house, performances, and sample camp activities on Sunday, February 5 from 12 – 2 pm while you get a full tour of the amazing JCC facilities and the full scoop on all the camps they offer for kids ages 2 and up, which include daily swim, lunch, snacks, and towel service for ALL campers.
The JCC has a ton of all-inclusive camps, so it might be hard to choose among all the program offerings like fine arts, science, sports, dance, musical theater, comedy, chamber music, special needs camps, and high-tech. When you tour, you’ll see that the facilities are amazing, with acres of outside grounds, indoor and outdoor aquatics, two gymnasiums, tennis and racquet courts, multiple playgrounds and more! (And by more we mean a spa and group fitness classes galore.)

Families who aren’t yet members of the JCC will also have the opportunity to join for a $750 summer camp family membership that runs Memorial Day through Labor Day ($250 for families who have never been members of the JCC). The JCC offers many other membership options, so you’ll have to check those out as well.
Summer will be here before we know it (hurray!) so now’s the time to fill the nest with plenty of fun-filled activities.
