Imagine this: a place where children can build strength and confidence, conquer fears, climb to new heights...and have a lot of fun doing so? This magical land exists, and is headed right over the New York border to Rockland County. ClimbZone, a unique climbing center that lets kids scale walls and push their limits, is opening in the Palisades Center in West Nyack -- hellooo being open on Sundays!
Not your average climbing center, ClimbZone appeals to kids with their creative wall designs, which serve as both climbing structures and works of art. With 34 different walls to choose from, kids can climb to the top of the Statue of Liberty, push themselves up a tall suit of armor, reach the top of a tetris wall or climb atop the 40-foot Mount Rushmore. Not only will reaching the top help your child gain strength and endurance, it will help teach them not to give up and to try to overcome obstacles -- literally and figuratively. Plus, the ropes at ClimbZone contain an on auto-belay feature which puts kids in charge of both their climb and descent, rather than relying on other people, showing them that the "fall" is just as fun as the climb.
ClimbZone also offers group events such as birthday parties or Girl Scout outings. You can find it on the 3rd floor of the mall near the food court, in the spot of the previous carousel. ClimbZone is an entertaining and thrilling activity the whole family can enjoy -- adults too!
