You embraced globalization long before the rest of us were skyping and jetting off to Ashrams in southern India. You hit Rio in the late 90’s and Reykjavik a year later, and tapped away on your cell phone, never missing a beat back home- which is why when you heard about the global cuisine over at Bibi’z, you dusted off your passport and headed over.
Owner Ida Assaf, previously of Napa Valley Grille and 90 Grand, is serving up “Global American” cuisine in a serene dining room with wood floors and natural accents. Almost all of the wines, many of them organic, are offered by the glass- so you can create your own tasting party as you nosh on nibbles (great for sharing) and artisan pies with Mediterranean, Latin and Asian influences.
Order up the the Roasted Whole Fish with Cilantro or the Chimichurri Steak with a side of pan roasted brussels sprouts. Or try the Bibi’z Chopped with Shrimp or Chicken added in if you want to eat on the lighter side. And if you don’t get around to finishing the bottle of wine you ordered, the restaurant will package it up for you to take home.
Now that kind of global is definitely worth warming up to.
