But now, FOMO Baking Company, with an online shop and a new storefront about to open Ridgewood NJ, is ready to change your life.
FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) Baking Company is the brain child of sisters Lauren Gershengorn and Brittany Baker, both Bergen County residents and treat lovers who didn’t want to miss out on the joy of dessert but couldn’t find delicious tasting cookies that were safe for them to eat (Lauren has a dairy allergy and Brittany has Celiac disease). So the former attorneys went to work in their kitchens, spending a year and a half testing every allergen free flour combination on the market before coming out with their own custom blend for their new cookie recipes.
FOMO Baking Company will offer six delicious cookie flavors for order online: brownie, chocolate chip, oatmeal chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, sugar and oatmeal raisin. Those of us fortunate enough to live locally can pick up our orders from their storefront, but cookies will also be available to be shipped in tasteful and upscale packaging all over the United States.
Our lucky testers got advanced samples of the cookies and agree that FOMO cookies are on the mark when it comes to both flavor and, more importantly, texture. Early favorites are the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and the brownie cookies (which have reportedly sparked a few sibling squabbles over who gets the last one!) Oh yeah, and FOMO Baking Company will also be offering cookie cakes because, um, they’re awesome.
Yeah right, sounds great. But this isn’t your first rodeo and you know that allergy-free desserts are usually a little too pricey to be anything but rare treats for special occasions.
