Arthur’s World Comes to Liberty Science Center (dedicated)

Day Trips  /

It's finally the official start of the 'summer of you'- the Rosé is chilled, spin bike reserved and reservations made at your favorite beach getaway spot. But then you realize you've got those kids to entertain (remember them?), all.summer.long. What to add to your perfectly planned summer? The brand new Arthur's World Exhibit at Liberty Science Center.

Arthur’s™ World, the national exhibition based on the PBS TV series and popular Marc Brown books, is now open at Liberty Science Center and it's filled with tons of super *fun* activities that will engage the kiddos AND help them beat that dreaded summer brain drain. Set in familiar Elwood locations including Arthur's school, library, bus stop and family home, this new exhibit, geared for ages 3-8, lets kids play in Arthur's world. Little ones can explore life under a microscope, become a substitue teacher, enter a spelling bee in Mr. Ratburn's classroom and even make a video in the auditorium and watch as it appears on the giant television screen. Finish off your visit by crawling into a yellow domed tent and camping out in Read's backyard. Because, who doesn't like camping? Especially when it's temperature controlled and there's no setup necessary!

And before you wrap up your day, don't forget to spend some time with your mini-paleontologist at LSC's re-opened Dino-Dig and cool off at the new One World One Sky Planetarium Show featuring Big Bird and all his Sesame Street Pals.

Once you return home with your tired out kiddos, you can pat yourself on the back for successfully battling those mid-summer doldrums, pop the cork on that bottle of Rosé, and get back to celebrating the summer of you.

Arthur’s™ World is included with general LSC admission
