Kaplen JCC on the Palisades: Is your kid looking to get some real on stage performance and/or dance experience? Broadway bound kids can choose from the Center Stage Camp (4th–9th grade) which provides young actors a high level experience that culminates in a Broadway style musical or the Broadway Performance Intensive (5th–10th grade), directed by Joseph A. Baker who coaches and accompanies Broadway stars. Campers in this program will hone their skills in singing, acting, comedy and musical theater and will culminate with cabaret-style show at a NYC Theater (interview/audition required). Kids who love comedy will love the Comedy Theater Camp (3rd–6th grade) where they will have the chance to create comedy sketches, do improv and learn cool comic skills by a master comic actor from Broadway. For dancers young and older, kids can point their toes and enjoy a fun-filled day of dance and more traditional camp activities at Little Dancers’ Camp (ages 3–5) while more experienced dancers, can enjoy the Dance Intensive (ages 6–16) which teaches dance technique in all dance types by experienced dancers and choreographers and culminates in a live performance at summers end. Cresskill Performing Arts: Perfect for the kid in the house who loves to sing and dance around to the little one who spends hours a day building lego towers. With their April Break Performing Arts Mini Camp, to their more intensive Summer Programs, to their Lego Workshop and Fencing Camp, you’re sure to find the perfect program for everybody in the fam. Bergen PAC Summer Arts Program: This summer camp provides kids, ages 5 – 12, with an unforgettable experience in dance, choreography, music appreciation, singing, acting, theater and more. With over 10 different summer programs offered for all ages and levels, which are taught by master teaching artists with professional credits, your child will have the opportunity to further explore and develop their talent while building confidence and appreciation for the arts all under one roof. (1 Depot Sq. One River School: Your budding artist will love the full roster of art and digital design classes that are offered for kids as young as kindergarten and as old as 12th grade. Experienced artists, designers, and craftsmen gather here to work with kids for half and full day sessions in everything from drawing, painting and sculpture to web design, digital animation and even fashion design. Studio L Dance: Studio L’s summer program includes 2-3 hour session in classes like Pirouette Camp for the little twirlers and Hip Hop, Acro/Tumble and Performing Arts Camp for more experienced dancers who are looking to perfect their style and technique.
