Attention all dancers, designers, singers, actors and artisans – summer is your time to shine. Get on stage and rock your summer at these top Art, Music and Dance Summer Camps in Bergen County NJ.

Progressive Dance Studio:  The primary focus at Progressive Dance Studio is developing each student’s talents, self-confidence and self-esteem in a safe, non-competitive environment. To that end, Progressive Dance Studio has recently redesigned their studio space, adding a classroom and a Tumbl Trak, the only one of its kind in Bergen County, in order to support a robust Acro program.Additionally, PDS launched a new performing arts program, Intro to Musical Theater for students who want to expand their acting and theater skills through individual scene work and singing Broadway musical songs. Kaplen JCC on the Palisades: Is your kid looking to get some real on stage performance and/or dance experience? Broadway bound kids can choose from the Center Stage Camp (4th–9th grade) or the Broadway Performance Intensive (5th–10th grade). Kids who love comedy will love the Comedy Theater Camp (3rd–6th grade) where they will have the chance to create comedy sketches, do improv and learn cool comic skills. Dancers can point their toes and enjoy a fun-filled day of dance and more traditional camp activities at Little Dancers’ Camp (ages 3–5) or the Dance Intensive (ages 6–16). Bonus – JCC summer programs are all-inclusive and include lunch, daily swim, towel service and more. The Conservatory of Performing Arts: Perfect for the anyone from a casual or first time dancer all the way up to pre-professional dancers looking to hone their craft. (300 Knickerbocker Road, Suite 1100 Cresskill, 201-390-7513, ages 3-teens,1 week dance and musical theater intensives will begin in mid-July)

Clay, Paper, Scissors:  When those dog days of summer get so hot that being outside sounds cruel, send your little maker to one of the great camps at Clay, Paper, Scissors. Camps will include a fashion camp, a slime camp, a youtube inspired camp, and DIY camp. Ridgewood Performing Arts Center:  Your littlest dancer will have a royally great time at the RPAC Princess camps while your older dancers can join the Hip Hop Explosion, multi-style or Dance Intensive camps. RPAC camps are a great introduction for new dancers or a terrific way for more experienced dancers to practice and perfect their skills in a brand new, light filled studio space. Porchlight Productions: If your kid isn't a triple threat already, they will be after a summer at Porchlight. Each week brings a new, well-loved musical to work on. Younger kids will perform in the Best of Broadway camps and participate in shows like Mary Poppins, The Greatest Showman and Moana. One River  School: Your budding artist will love the full roster of art and digital design camps that are offered for kids as young as kindergarten and as old as 12th grade. Kids have the opportunity to work with artisans and professionals skilled in areas like digital design, animation, street art, clay sculpting and watercolors. (49 N. Bergen PAC Summer Arts Program: This summer camp provides kids with an unforgettable experience in dance, choreography, music appreciation, singing, acting, theater and more. With over 10 different summer programs offered for all ages and levels, your child will have the opportunity to further explore and develop their talent while building confidence and appreciation for the arts all under one roof. (1 Depot Sq. School of Rock: Kids will rock out all summer long when they attend one of School of Rock’s weekly camp sessions which include daily rehearsals, logo and poster design, and intensive songwriting and performances. Stage Left Theater: If your kid gets their kicks from being on stage– they’ll love Stage Left’s summer programs. Choose one or all of the summer musical productions which, this year, incude 101 Dalmations, and the Lion King Jr. Your child can also take their performance skills to the next level in the Summer Theater Intensive program which is jammed-packed with tons of theater activities and a performance at the end.
