“Shop ’til you drop” doesn’t have the same ring when you’re doing it online, but it’s finally time to start dusting off those charge cards in real time—American Dream is once again open for business!
The East Rutherford indoor mall and entertainment mega-mall/funplex has been closed for the past six months due to COVID-19, but Governor Phil Murphy has officially given the green light for indoor amusements to resume (with the latest health and safety precautions in full effect, of course). That means the original 25 rides at Nickelodeon Universe and 26 of 28 attractions at DreamWorks Water Park plus The Big Snow are ready to welcome back adventure-goers for tons of playtime fun. Bonus: American Dream officials have also announced the opening of it new Angry Birds-themed mini-golf course. Bonus Bonus: Ticket prices for Nickelodeon Universe have been reduced by about $20 (and are now based on the age of the guest) and ticket prices for DreamWorks Water Park have been reduced by about $10.
If giant coasters or the world’s tallest indoor drop slide don’t do it for you, there’s still plenty of shopping to be had! American Dream has confirmed that retailers H&M, Primark, and ZARA will debut at the reopening and more than a dozen other stores—including Aldo, Arc’Teryx, Asics, Century 21, Columbia, DSW, Fabletics, Hollister, MAC Cosmetics, Pink Victoria’s Secret, Samsonite, Sephora, Sunglass Hut, Tumi, Uniqlo, and Urban Planet—will be back in business. And look for more *fun* to come...this Spring will bring the openings of SEA LIFE Aquarium and LEGOLAND Discovery Center, so your family can look forward to those as well.
Who knew it would take a pandemic to make us love going to the mall again!
