Know what the natural world is full of? No, not bugs! It’s wonder. The natural world is full of wonder. And who better to experience and enjoy those feelings of awe and amazement than your preschooler? Preschool aged kids are exactly the right age to appreciate the fresh air, healthy movement, water play, arts and crafts, storytelling, sensory play, STEM, mindfulness, games, and gardening that fill each day at Nature Camp at Friends Neighborhood Nature School in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
Camp at Friends offers a safe and nurturing environment, facilitated by experienced early childhood educators, that encourages curiosity and connection with the natural world through hands-on exploration and inquiry. Your child will build early science and observation skills, engage in nature-inspired art and music, learn about local plants, animals and habitats, dig in the garden, listen to stories under the trees, feel the breeze, and maybe even do a little puddle jumping, all while developing confidence, independence and a love for nature.
Camp at Friends runs for 8, one-week sessions offered from 9:00-1:00 pm or 9:00-3:00pm June 30 through August 22, for children ages three to six who are toilet independent. Enrollment is open and spots are filling quickly - don’t miss the chance to give your child a summer full of adventure, discovery, and sunshine.
