Lily & Liam Indoor Playspace in Englewood, NJ

Play Spaces  /

Trying to bring your tot to your pre-baby favorite lunch spot is kind of like trying to fit into your pre-preggers skinny jeans- it's not going to work right now.  Like the restaurant's unfortunate acoustics that amplify every peep and babble. The minuscule bathrooms with no paper towels. The way the staffers give our stroller the Look of Death whenever they walk by (we swear it's totally not in the way!).

From now on, we’ll be pushing our pram to Lily & Liam, a unique children’s activity center in Englewood that combines fun and food in a totally fresh way. At Lily & Liam, kids can move from mealtime to playtime all in the same place!

Let’s start with the fun part, because there’s a lot to be had: 4,000 square feet of super-clean and creative play area, a large indoor playground complete with swings and spinners, a mini race track, kitchen/grocery shopping station, a cypress wood digging pit, Lego stations, and so much more. There’s even a play area dedicated to toddlers ages two and under—rejoice!

Parents will love the convenience of setting the little ones loose while having a nearby perch from which to sit and watch, since the play areas are all viewable from the on-site café, which, by the way, serves up a delicious range of coffees, teas, juices, and healthy, kid-friendly snacks (all nut-free!).

There is a no-shoe policy (socks are for sale, however—nicely played, L&L!) and clean slippers are provided for adults at the entrance. Prices start at $9.99 for toddlers (12-24 months) and $11.99 for kids over 2 years, with weekend (F-Sun) and holiday rates starting at $15.99. Infants under 12 months are free (psst, there’s a comfy nursing room and separate diaper-changing area) for the first hour.
