Take everything you already adore about specialty camps at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades (the variety, the activities, the value, and the community) and now add even more disciplines, a longer day from 9 am-4 pm, plus all-inclusive goodies like lunch, snacks, a daily swim, and towel service for all campers. Camp offerings for children ages 8 and up include:
- Multi-Sport, Basketball & Tennis where campers build their skills and increase strength and endurance.
- Dance Intensive where campers can explores all the latest crazes and new dance forms while building their technique in ballet, jazz and hip hop.
- Center-Stage (Musical Theater) & Broadway Performance Intensive: An excellent opportunity for young actors to experience the fun of performing at a very high level. Workshops include acting, movement, singing, comedy and improv.
- Fine Arts where campers get the opportunity to work with guest artists to learn new art skills, methodology and mediums.
- Big Idea Hi-Tech where campers can design their future. The perfect mix between cutting edge tech workshops and outdoor summer fun. Areas of focus will include robotics, coding, 3D modeling, DJ, film production and even fashion, all taught in hands-on workshops.
- Chamber Music & Chorus where talented young musicians and an acclaimed faculty of artists experience the joys of music in an atmosphere of success and enjoyment.
- Teen Adventures: Travel/Volunteer Camp where campers enjoy daily trips that include amusement parks, beaches, sports games, NY, community service projects and overnight getaways.
JCC membership required for all sport camps, and for children under 10 years in art, dance, and drama camps. Families who have never been a member of the JCC can join for a $250 summer membership that runs Memorial Day-Labor Day (with some restrictions) and the JCC is offering additional membership options, including a new Camp Family Membership for $750 that runs Memorial Day-Labor Day.
