Bergen County-based certified makeup artist Lexi Smith of SmithBeauty launched her Makeup and Mimosas workshops at Ridgewood’s Serendipity Labs last September with the mission of teaching the essentials of natural beauty and step-by-step techniques the pros use while inspiring participants to feel confident in their own skin, and with a few classes under her belt she's already got a bunch of makeup obsessed devotees. The next class on the roster is focused on the 40-plus set where Smith will give hands on demos of everything from prepping and priming skin to how to highlight and contour in order to help kickstart that elusive fresh look we’re always looking for. She’ll share the scoop on all the must-have products on her SmithBeauty Bucket List and will send you home with samples and a swag bag. You bring the bubbly, she’ll provide the juice, glassware, and some sweet treats from The BakeShop Boutique. If you’re not a Mimosa gal (hey, no judgment), you’re welcome to bring your drink of choice instead. Makeup and Merlot, perhaps?
