Picture this: You're driving past Westfield Garden State Plaza on a Sunday in late May. You're expecting to see an empty parking lot just waiting for Monday shoppers but instead, just opposite Macy's by Route 17, the lot is full of food vendors, fun and games for the kids and live music. Here's the really good news. This isn't just something you have to imagine. It's the scene you'll get to experience live and in person at the brand new Sunday Farmer's Market at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Beginning on Sunday, May 22nd and running through Sunday, November 20th from 9:00 am–2:00 pm, the parking lot between Macy's and Route 17 will be transformed into a market complete with fresh farm produce, over 20 food vendors, food trucks, a car show by GSMC, kids' activities, live music and much more. Receive a complimentary reusable bag with your purchase on opening day, while supplies last, as we've all seen the Bergen County bag game elevate recently!
Fresh vendors will include: Kettering Farm, Jersey Girl Pickles, Hoboken Farms, Van Wageningen & Daughters Farms, Uncle Bobs Kettle Corn, Josh's Chocolates, Dacha Fermented Veggies, BeBe Spice, Spoon Me Soups, Cakes by Karla, La Pet-isserie Pet Food, Joey's Market, Cat Like Reflexes, The Pasta Club, Hello Wafulls, Paolo's Kitchen, love at first boxx flowers, The Coffee Stream, and Wildly Salted.
Or, if you're looking for lunch, 3 to 4 of the following will be there each week: Antojitos De Mi Tierra, Mama Lou's BBQ Food Truck, Lady G Empanadas, Rolling Yatai, Soup Phantom, The Wicked Waffle Stick, Clyde's Homemade Italian Ice & Ice Cream, and Latin Dragon.
While you shop, make sure your kiddos are entertained with a game trailer, face painting and a bouncy house. Your biggest kid, otherwise known as your significant other, will love the GSMC Exotic car show each week and the live music from artists including: Ryan Sloan (lead singer of Wyland) on May 22nd, Ryan Bria (lead singer of Brother Jerome) on May 29th, Sofia Khorosh on June 5th and Ryan Ball on June 12th. Additional artists to be announced soon.
The Westfield Garden State Plaza Sunday Farmer's Market will go on rain or shine, except in the case of extremely inclement weather. For more information, visit the event site. Then, pack up the fam. It's time to buy local and eat fresh.
