We have “American Idol”, they’ve got “X Factor”.
We have Broadway, they have The West End.
We’ve got Lennon, they have Sir Paul.
Most things are better here than across the pond. But lately it seems those English folk have one-upped us on the style front: think Stella, Gwyneth and Madonna.
So that’s why when we stumbled upon the new All Saints Spitalfields Clothing Shoppe tucked between the denim and lingerie departments in Bloomingdales at Riverside, we let out an audible “tally-ho!” The Bergen outpost of this London High Street clothing staple marries rocker style to industrial chic. And while the All Saints look has already hit the streets in London, it has just arrived stateside in locations such as LA and Soho.
The boutique is stocked with vintage style motorcycle jackets, trenches, tunics and tees. And to our surprise we also found scarves, shoes, fingerless gloves and a sequin mini dress that we just died over. Each All Saints store offers a unique selection of pieces to give the shopper a couture feel (and so you don’t see every person on the street wearing the same thing!).
So grab your mate and go check out the best British invasion since the Beatles. When you see these threads, you may actually start to tear with joy. And that’s okay.
We wouldn’t want them to see the whites of your eyes.
