Additionally, St. John’s Academy offers an extended care program with no long-term commitment required.
Kindergartners at SJA enjoy the benefit, not only of the individualized attention of a 15:1 student/teacher ratio, but they are also paired with an 8th grade “Prayer Partner”, a year-long buddy in this very special transitional year. These SJA Prayer Partners often forge long-lasting relationships that continue long beyond graduation.
Students benefit from an award-winning STEM program but at SJA, they take it a step further with a focus on STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts and Math). SJA participates in the One Book, One School program and Students are focused on the purposeful and intentional use of technology to foster real learning – not tech for tech’s sake - in their newly renovated Technology and Design center.

SJA students are sought after by top Catholic High Schools including Don Bosco, Bergen Catholic, St. Joe's, Academy of the Holy Angels, Immaculate Heart Academy, Paramus Catholic, and Regis among others. Last year's class received over $200k in scholarships to attend these schools.
Additionally, all students have access to a robust after-school enrichment program, wholly run by faculty and parents in subject as diverse as world languages, music, drama, gardening, engineering, keyboarding, entrepreneurship and cooking.

The Parent Teacher Guild (PTG) is an invaluable part of the school community and the Dads’ Squad hosts monthly socials for SJA dads.
