Let’s get physical/ Oh…you might as well jump!/Cause we were born to run/ With all the other kids with the pumped up kicks. When it comes to selecting the right fall sports program for your kiddos, you might feel like everbody’s shufflin’. And yet, all it really comes down to is finding the right beat. Which is why we’re singing praises over the all-star program at Playmaker All-Stars.

At Playmaker All-Stars, kids learn all about the basics of sports in a nurturing, fun and educational environment that’s focused on how children learn best: through teamwork, leadership skills and good sportsmanship. Sports curriculum, drills and games are all designed to increase self-confidence and develop a lifelong love for sports, not push them past their limits (or yours). 45-minute programs for little kiddos (2 – 7 year-olds) introduce kids to a variety of multisport activities like basketball, hockey, tennis, t-ball, golf and soccer. Older kids (ages 5 to 12 years-old) can enroll in hour-long basketball programs. Everyone can participate in open gym times, private lessons or monthly parents night outs. Mini camps, held during school breaks throughout the year keep kids active in sports and art, and birthday parties (either held at a Playmaker venue or your very own home) include 60 minutes of coach-led sports activities, including relay races, kickball, hockey, dodge ball and baseball. Talk about a home run!

Coach and owner Mike Rosensweet, who co-founded Playmaker All-Stars in 2010, is a highly regarded sports coach and the sweetest guy around. He and his team have a passion for working with children and creating programs that promote skill development and ensure safety. So go on, hit it! Playmaker All-Stars has locations in both Closter and Edgewater. Check out their fall schedule and enroll today.
