A place that will honor them as the unique individual they are. The Leonard & Syril Rubin Early Childhood Center at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades is exactly the place for you.

The ECC philosophy encourages and supports children on their journey to becoming lifelong learners. Explore + Play = Learn is used as a main vehicle for fostering curiosity, exploration and discovery. At ECC, children learn through hands on experiences that teach the skill sets they’ll need to be successful students (and humans!).

The ECC’s small class ratios, coupled with warm, nurturing, and experienced educators, allow them to personalize and differentiate their instruction to spotlight each child’s talents, creative ideas, wonder and curiosity. 

The Early Childhood Center offers a warm, nurturing Jewish-valued based environment for infants up through Transitional Kindergarten. And their location, as part of the JCC, gives children and families endless opportunities to get involved and build friendships within the larger JCC community. Jewish culture, traditions and customs are a focal point of the school culture but, as an inclusive community, families of all faiths and traditions are welcomed and embraced at the ECC.

At the ECC, children enjoy weekly enrichment activities that spark creativity, communication, and self-expression including swimming, Judaics, gym, creative movement/dance, music, as well as occupational movement and resources.

The Leonard and Syril Rubin Early Childhood Center wants to be a collaborative partner in your child’s educational journey. They offer a variety of program options intended to accommodate every family’s needs and schedules, including a 7 am - 6:30 pm option.
