No Bad Summer Days at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades (dedicated)

Camps  /

How many times a day do you think to yourself, “Geez, must be nice to be a kid these days”?  Our kids attend amazing birthday parties, learn cool stuff in school, and attend summer camps that make all-inclusive resorts seem, well, like child’s play.

How do parents get in on that action? One way is to send the kids to day camp or specialty camp at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades. Wait, what? How does that help you?

Well, while your kid enjoys a top-notch camp experience playing outdoors, learning to code, honing their performance skills, watching a volcano explode, making their own jewelry, taking day trips, swimming and participating in fun theme days, you’ll get an affordable summer membership at the JCC.

Which means that after you drop your kids off for their camp day, you can enjoy some me time with a great workout on state-of-the-art equipment, or take a stimulating exercise class, or indulge in a decadent spa treatment. You can also enjoy the J on a Sunday relaxing by the pool, playing some tennis or hoops, enjoying lunch in the picnic area with the whole fam.

Summer camp at the J includes daily lunch and snacks, daily swim and towel service (because at the end of the camp day, who wants to go home and do laundry?), access to transportation, extended hours for childcare, a professional staff and flexible registration.

Register your kids, ages 3 – grade 2, for the Neil Klatskin Day Camp, a traditional day camp experience with a renown Red Cross swim program and a Hebrew immersion option for fluent Hebrew speakers. Or, for kids in grades 3 and up, the JCC offers the Neil Klatskin Specialty Camps offering sessions in fine arts, science, Big Idea Hi-Tech, multiple sports including basketball and tennis, dance intensives, Center Stage musical theater, Broadway Showtime, comedy acting camp, and NKDC Experience, which features fun campy activities and day trips.

Looking for camps between school and camp, or between camp and school, the JCC has lots of options for that too, all listed on their website!

Additionally, the JCC offers children ages 3 and up with special needs the opportunity to enjoy a fully-inclusive camp experience. Please contact Shelley Levy, Director of Special Services, 201.408.1489, for a consultation to ensure appropriate placement.

JCC membership is required for Neil Klatskin Day Camps and all sports camps, and for children under 10 years in art, science, Big Idea, dance, and drama camps. Membership is not required for kids with special needs. Summer memberships run from Memorial Day through Labor Day. New members can enjoy everything the J has to offer for just $250 for the summer. Cost for returning members is $750.

Call or email today to schedule a tour or to learn more about how your entire family can enjoy the J this summer.
