Lori’s Mixing Bowl Hosts Grand Opening in Harrington Park, NJ

So many parties, so little time. If you're constantly playing hostess with the mostest, you may need a little help with the finishing touches of your event, whether it's a holiday gathering, birthday party, baby shower, or more. And that includes the literal icing on the cake. While Bergen County is filled with many delicious dessert spots, like our stomachs, there's always room for more.

That's why we're excited about the official grand opening on Saturday November 2 at 11 am of Lori's Mixing Bowl in Harrington Park. This new custom cake shop will feature cakes and other sweet treats including cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, French macarons, and more. While custom orders are its specialty, the shop will also be open for retail on the weekends from 10 am to 3 pm. You can find an ever-changing menu filled with seasonal flavors and holiday decor — dessert style.

Having been in the cake industry for more than 10 years, including a Bachelor's degree in Baking & Pastry Arts, owner Lori Lupardi said that she's thrilled to be opening up her business in the "amazing community" of Bergen County, having grown up in Closter. 

So what can you expect in the new location? Along with the custom cakes that Lori's Mixing Bowl is known for, find seasonal cupcakes with holiday-ready themes decorated on top, cake tasting boxes you can take the flavors for a test run before committing to just one, incrediblly detailed cookies, funfettie cake pops, chocolate-covered strawberries, and so much more. Plus, if you visit regularly, each dop-in will be a surprise of the rotating list of in-store retail items that will tickle your taste buds, including authentic boxed French macarons.

Its custom cakes require a few weeks' notice for orders, so make sure to put yours in early ahead of the holidays. Choose from cake flavors like vanilla, chocolate, funfetti, red velvet, and marble, plus fillings including vanilla or chocolate buttercream, oreo buttercream, fudge filling, and nutella buttercream. And don't miss the grand opening event at 11 am on November 2, where you can get a sweet taste of happiness.
