Who doesn’t want to be a lifeguard this summer? After all, you get paid to sit in the sun, work with the fittest and most fabulous of swimmers, and obtain bragging rights for saving lives. But first, you have to get certified.

The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course at Kaplen JCC on the Palisades includes all the instruction and training you need before you make your debut splash as a lifeguard this summer: First Aid, CPR, AED, and professional rescue training; plus plenty of hands-on water safety pool time.

Think your teen is ready for the challenge?

Prerequisite swim tests (which are free for members and nonmembers) will be held March 17, 7:30 – 8:30pm and March 22, 1 – 2pm. Class schedules will be distributed upon successful completion on the swim tests.

Course Fee is $399 for JCC members, $499 nonmembers.
