Keep Kids Busy With an End-of-Summer Camp

With Labor Day falling later than usual this year, many schools are delayed in opening to students which makes summer that much longer. Sure, it's more time to spend with your kids, but keeping them busy each day until almost mid-September may have your head spinning. The solution is closer, and easier, than you think. Sign your kids up for an end-of-summer camp, most of which are offered in daily and weekly sessions, and run through the end of August or early September. These are the camps after the camps, for a little pre-school year fun for all ages. 

 

Fountain Fitness Center This summer-long program recently extended its run, and is now giving families the chance to get in on the fun before school starts. Using their expansive indoor and outdoor space, this camp offers sports, swimming, games, theme weeks and so much more. Fitness With Friends School's Out Sports Camp Let you energizer bunny run wild at this fun and engaging sports camp for kids ages 6 to 11. Through age-appropriate games and obstacles courses, kids can working on improving agility, endurance, strength, balance and confidence all while having fun with their friends. Superdome Sports Summer Camp If you have an athlete in the house, or a child who likes to run around and play, let them hone their skills and stay active at Superdome's All Sports Camp. Available in full or half day sessions, by the week or day, kids of all ages can enjoy soccer, football, basketball, dodgeball, kickball and more with their peers. BounceU Are you kids bouncing off the walls? Send them to BounceU's themed camps, where bouncing is literally the name of the game. The end-of-summer weekly camp themes include Camp Around the World and Summer Ending Carnival Week, plus a sensory bounce camp in the mornings. Life Time Bergen County This mega-gym offers an end-of-summer camp option with weekly themes, gym games, STEM activities and more, with daily and weekly options available for pre-K through tweens. Electives are also available for school-age kids, to futher enrich their minds and bodies. Life Time offers half- and full-day options. High Exposure Climbing Kids test their strength, balance, agility and more at High Exposure's Summer Survival Camp for ages 5 to 17. Train like a real American Ninja Warrior through rock climbing, bouldering, parkour, games and obstacles, separated by age an ability. Northern Valley Sports Academy Give your kids ages 4 to 12 a well-rounded experience with sports, games, theme days from slime to cookie decorating, special guests, art and much more. For weekly campers, there is a twice-a-week visit to the Demarest Swim Club for swimming and water activities to cool off. Daily and weekly options are available. Clay Paper Scissor Studio Little arts can get their hands dirty at the Craft Crazy Camp, where kids will leave with their own masterpieces using different kinds of media.
