School's out, and the long weekend can mean long days of kids asking you what to do. Whether you're looking to make some family memories or for ways keep the kids occupied for a few hours during the day, there's plenty of fun to be had in and around Bergen County during teacher's convention.

 

Camps

Code Ninjas Day Camp Let your kid engage in (one of) their favorite pastimes while developing their tech skills at Code Ninja's camp. With a specific focus on Minecraft at their Midland Park location, and Roblox development at their Saddle Brook location, kids can play, create and learn while doing what they love. My Gym Teacher's Convention Camp Dance and gymnastics, arts and crafts, games and relays are just some of the fun offered for kids ages 3 to 9. Fitness With Friends School's Out Clinic Ages 6 to 11 stay active at this sports and games clinic that combines dodgeball and basketball with relay races and obstacles for every ability. Plus, pizza at the end and the chance to make new friends makes this a win for all. Thursday November 4-Friday November 5, 10 am-12:30 pm, River Vale 

 

Northern Valley Sports Academy Teacher's Convention Camp Keep your little athlete moving while school's out at one of NVSA's sports-centered camps. Choose from a full or half day, where kids can play soccer, baseball, run relays, bounce and more. Thursday November 4-Friday November 5, 9 am-3 pm or 9 am-12:30 pm, Closter

 

 

Family Fun

Staycation at American Dream Plan a full day of adventure at one or more of American Dream's attractions, including Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park, SEA LIFE Aquarium, LEGOLAND and so much more. Enjoy the Beauty of Nature Go on a mini adventure with the whole family by exploring some of the beauty NJ has to offer. Visit Paterson Great Falls for a stunning view of the waterfall. Visit High Point State Park for amazing views, or the Historic New Bridge Landing for an educational, outdoor activity.

 

Visit Dinos at Field Station: Dinosaurs The park opens its gates for a special weekday hours on November 4th and 5th, when families can visit their life-sized dinosaurs, enjoy live shows and more prehistoric fun. Find Some Amusement(s) Bring the fam to Diggerland, the only construction-themed amusement park, for the final days of Diggerfest Fall Festival, which include all of the construction fun plus carnival games, hay rides and more, through Sunday November 7th. Or, visit the new Legoland in Goshen, NY for brick-loads of fun.
