Dwight-Englewood School Admissions Events are “Virtually Yours” [dedicated]

Schools  /

This year Dwight-Englewood School is doing things differently. Aren’t we all? In a normal year, DE would be preparing to welcome prospective families to their campus for tours of the brand new middle school and the award-winning STEM building. They would be ready to present details about the curriculum, the maker space in the lower school, the fine arts offerings, athletics and the aftercare program. They would be able to discuss in person their philosophy on  developing students into lifelong learners, prepared to meet the challenges of their future through an education that’s grounded in tradition and the classic liberal arts but delivered by forward-thinking educators using the latest technology.

Sadly, for the safety of our current and future Dwight-Englewood community, DE has chosen to wait to welcome candidates for admission to campus. Instead, the Dwight-Englewood Admissions team will be offering Virtual Admissions Events throughout the fall so prospective students and their families can get to know DE better. Join them for Evenings with the Head of School, Dr. Rodney V. De Jarnett, especially tailored to families with students applying for grades 6 – 12. Take a Deep Dive into one (or all!) of their Upper School curriculum segments. Sign up for an intimate Open Door event and get a closer look at the Lower School, or a first ever tour of the Middle School, newly commissioned for the 2020-2021 school year. Register for a Local Meet & Greet with faculty and families from your own backyard. Events are structured to allow you to experience all that Dwight-Englewood School has to offer without ever leaving the comfort and safety of your own home.

What you will learn in these sessions is that Dwight-Englewood School, located in Englewood, New Jersey, is a co-ed, independent school serving kids in grades PreK through 12 in a Lower, Middle and Upper School. The approximately 900 students represent over 80 communities in New Jersey and New York. The 44-acre campus is home to a community made up of students, faculty and staff who are diverse in ethnicity and nationality as well as in their interests, thoughts, beliefs, abilities and personalities. Dwight-Englewood students are intellectually curious, talented, motivated and responsible. Dwight-Englewood faculty are dedicated, wise, respectful and welcoming.
