Ice cream by Mike (voted one of the best ice cream shops by NJ.com) was a staple in Hackensack, and is quickly becoming one at their new location in Ridgewood. The cozy spot offers a healthy rotation of home-made flavors with the best ingredients on the daily.  We indulged in the Heath Bar, Strawberry, and Cookies & Cream (topped with fudge, obvs) and it left us with serious FOMO on the rest of the menu. Until next time! (Open 7 days, Ice Cream by Mike, 305 E. Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood)

The ice cream parlor and soda fountain at Conrad's Confectionary, founded in 1928, is one of those places that automatically transports you to happy and simpler times, with its nostalgic decor and vintage finds. Perch yourselves on a swiveling stool and order up one of their classics like a banana split or a chocolate shake float. You'll be glad you did. (Conrad's Confectionary, 107 Westwood Ave, Westwood, NJ)

We stumbled upon D'Ercole donuts by scrolling through our feed and drooling over their house made donuts. Then they introduced their summer ice cream flavors. Then they created the donut sundae (mic, drop).  And we can assure you they taste as good as they look. (D'Ercole Donuts, 489 Tappan Rd, Northvale, NJ)

Always pushing the envelope when it comes to concocting new flavors, we've see everything from Rainbow Cookie ice cream (ice cream with mixed in rainbow cookies) to Maple Bacon infused from this Rutherford favorite. And now introducing this summer's newest...THE UNI-CONE!  Making all your mystical ice cream fantasies come true. (Ice Cream Charlies, 200 Park Ave, Rutherford, NJ)

No matter which location, expect over 60 years of making sweet dreams come true at your local Kilwins. And that includes some very hard-to-resist ice cream - plus a dolup of home made hot fudge of course. (Kilwins,121 E Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood, NJ)

Think a coffee shop can't do ice cream right? Think again. Newcomer Mavi's Coffee and Patissiere is serving 3 flavors of soft serve (Taro, Vanilla and Matcha) in their house made puffle cones which we topped with lychee and fruity pepples for the win. (Mavi's Coffee and Patissiere, 237 Main St, Fort Lee, NJ)

Hot days call for cooling off with fave Sogno Coffee's Italian Ices and we challenge you to resist ordering up some of their other confections (hello Fruity Pebble Cheesecake). Available in Mango, Watermelon and the very fun Tropical Fruit. (Sogno Coffee House, 48 Westwood Ave, Inside Johnny's Market, Westwood, NJ)

Raise your hand if you love Bingsoo! Brand new Cresskill cafe Cafe Rx is serving up bingsoo in tons of flavors- it's hard to pick just one. We settled on the Strawberry and gobbled it down- including the macaron. (CafeRx, 2 Piermont Rd, Creskill, NJ)
