bergenPAC Hosts Virtual Gala “Our Home, Your Home” for Pandemic Relief [dedicated]

Hey, what are you doing on Saturday, March 13th at 7:30pm? How’d you like to catch a show featuring Tony winners, world class musicians and comedians AND support a beloved local institution that has been severely impacted by the pandemic? No, this is not a post-COVID fantasy, it’s an invitation to join Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) for their Historic 2021 Annual Gala, “Our Home, Your Home”, live streamed and free for all to attend.  

No one understands the value of the performing arts to children and adults more than performers themselves. That’s why when bergenPAC asked, entertainers including Rock Legend John Fogerty, Musical Icons Paul Anka, Dionne Warwick, Darlene Love and Jack Antonoff, Jazz Icon Wynton Marsalis, Tony Award winner Ali Stroker, and the Broadway cast of “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg” responded. In addition to their performances, Jay Leno and Itzhak Perlman will join in to share testimonials on the value of the arts, performing arts schools and, most especially bergenPAC as an irreplaceable part of the Bergen County community. 

As you can imagine, the past year has taken its toll on the bergenPAC theater and performing arts program. That’s why this year’s mission is to “Save our Stage” and to “Save our School”. Since bergenPAC opened in 2003, it has become a revered cultural and performing arts cornerstone in Bergen County. bergenPAC has persevered during the past year by offering unique drive-in performances, virtual concerts and most importantly by maintaining the educational programs at their performing arts school, preparing the next generation for their time on the stage. 

bergenPAC needs your help. Donations in any amount are appreciated and critical to their mission. The 2021 Gala will benefit the Performing Arts School, ongoing Pandemic Relief for displaced theater performers and workers, and the Restoration of the historic theater building including a new stage, renovated interiors, new theater seats and new carpeting.
