Here are a few last minute tips to help make your soiree more than yummy

Roast: S’mores using a “S’more to Love” kit, where you don’t need a bonfire to make the perfect S’more (and the chocolate is always melted).  ($14.99 at Chef Central, Route 17, Paramus)

Mix and Serve: Watermelon Mojitos

30 large fresh mint leaves mashed with a mortar and pestle
4 thick slices of fresh watermelon, rind removed
12 oz. of light rum
½ cup of simple syrup
6 tbsp of fresh lime juice

Puree the watermelon in a large food processor fitted with a steel blade.  Then combine with mashed mint leaves and remaining ingredients in a pitcher.  Stir.  Pour over ice cubes in 6 glasses.  Garnish with fresh mint.


Now you can party like it’s the end of the world.
