Why: Aviator-wannabees explore the cockpits of airplanes, helicopters and fire trucks

What: Harvest Fair at OPRC
Why: Raffled items, toys, baked goods and soups, jewelry, linens, books and records.

What: The Fast and the Furriest at Tenafly Nature Center
Why: Stalk forest creatures and finish off with a craft at this family friendly workshop great for ages 4 and up.

What: Fall Forest Weekend at the New York Botanical Garden
Why: Everything from Live Raptor Shows to Forest Walking Tours (yes, foliage included)

What: Project Ladybug’s 6th Annual Ladies Night Out: Goddess Gala

Why: More than 150 puppets used to bring a classic fairy tale to life. Perfect for ages 7 and up.

What: Jazz House Kidz Day of Swing
Why: Great intro for kids ages 2 and up into creative music-making with a class in little-bopping and rhythm and the Let’s Build a Jazz House Workshop.
