Attending Jewish Preschool in Northern New Jersey Just Got Super Easy

Schools  /

It's hard to believe, but next fall, your little one will be ready to start preschool. You know you need to start looking for the perfect place for them to make their first friends, learn and grow. If you’d also like for them to be taught in an environment that is informed by your Jewish faith, the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey has good news for you.

Federation's Jewish Right Start ® program provides incentive grants up to $1,000 to families who live within the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey area and are choosing an approved Jewish preschool. The benefits of an early education informed by the Jewish faith are clear. Studies have shown that the best way to create active and engaged Jewish adults is to introduce the joys of being Jewish at the very beginning of a child’s life.

Recipients of these grants will be children who are enrolled in a 2- or 3-year old class in one of 11 approved schools for September 2019. Students must be attending school for the first time, be the first child in the family to attend a Jewish preschool and have at least one parent in the family who identifies as Jewish. Grants of up to $1,000 will be awarded through matching funding provided by the national Jewish Right Start ® program, an initiative of the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago and made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor.

The Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey thrives on building community and creating a strong vibrant Jewish experience for the entire community - young and old.
