A Haunted Halloween Table

"CHIC-O-WEEN"  ...on the fly

Halloween is a festive holiday and can get pricey when planning a party.
This year I decided to take inventory of the "skeletons in my closet" and use items I already had.
This cocktail party table setting is comprised of:

-Silver trays (that I usually use at Christmas) a mercury garden ball from my terrace, extra moss from my spring decor bin, a cloche that normally houses an object in the den.

-A simple DIY "fix" for your tapers - tape off stripes and just paint using black or any color you desire. (use non toxic craft or bakers paint for safety)
The runner beneath is a old curtain, by ripping the edges off , this gives it a haunting effect.

-The Halloween themed food & drink I created in this photo are:

-"Pumpkin Patch Dip" - mix store bought hummus, a can of pumpkin, add a pinch of garlic salt, a touch of truffle oil on top, mix and serve!

-"Witch Tear Martini" - Jalapeno Lime Mixer, with a shot of your favorite adult beverage.

****FOR THE KIDS****

-Popcorn mixed with m&m's is a classic of course... kids of all ages love this!

It's all in the presentation, I used vintage black glasses, but any vintage jar, glass or vessel will make this little snack more or a "treat"!

****FOR THE KIDS****

Marshmallow Ghosts are a fun treat to make and eat.
Simple-  just take cold chocolate chips and push them into room temperature marshmallows... and BOO!
You can also add these to a cup of Hot Cocoa and watch them melt!
