One Love Bike and Barre Opens in Ridgewood

One extra slice of pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. One more holiday sugar cookie with sprinkles. One piece of Aunt Helen’s fruit cake, for politeness’ sake. Yup, tis’ the season of indulging, and it can all add up to a LOT of unwanted pounds, if you don’t stay on top of it. Fortunately, I’ve found a singular solution to help keep me (and my waistline) in check—One Love Bike + Barre.

Newly opened to rave reviews in Ridgewood, this cycling and fitness studio is a sure-fire secret weapon for warding off all those “just one more” moments. Offering super-charged spin classes guaranteed to make you sweat and barre classes that will have you feeling the burn, One Love provides the perfect place for gym rats and newbies alike to get a full-body workout in a fun, friendly environment.

Manager Jennifer Nunn invited me to sample One Love’s latest class offering, “Half and Half”, which combines both belly-blasting disciplines (25 minutes of strength training and 25 minutes of spin). I wasn’t sure I would walk away alive, but I accepted the challenge and loved it! By the time my muscles were screaming “STOP!” from the barre portion, it was time to jump on a spin bike (all brand-new, by the way) and pedaling my way to the finish line of an awesome full-body workout. All in under an hour!

Want in? One Love is currently offering some pretty insane introductory pricing for Bergen Mama readers. $10 off 1 week package of unlimited classes (regular price $39 - Bergen Mama readers get it for $29) 2) OR $20 off 1 month package of unlimited classes (regular price $99 - Bergen Mama readers get it for $79

Helaine Kay is the fitness editor of Bergen Mama, she is also a workout enthusiast and a mom of three.
