Getting to NYC Is Easy With NY Waterway (dedicated)

Day Trips  /

When was the last time you went to the city to play? Going to work doesn’t count. And we're not talking about the time you went to see that doctor or ran in to meet your old college pal for breakfast. We're talking about taking advantage of all AMAZING things NYC has to offer with your kids in tow.

With kids riding free on NY Waterway ferries from July 5 to September 4 this is easier than ever. Just drive to the ferry terminal, hop on a boat, and head for the rooftop deck. Then, you get to enjoy the breathtaking views as you approach the city. The kids will be so enthralled by the ride, they won't be crying about wanting a snack or not wanting a snack or not wanting THAT snack. None of that. This is your fantasy, and you make the rules.

If you do a little advanced planning, you can save with NY Waterway’s Your Key to the City package that offers discounts to the American Museum of Natural History, the Intrepid Museum, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Empire State Building, Madame Tussauds, and even Double Decker Bus tours.

If you’re looking for something with a little more exercise (wear them out!) you can bring the bikes and use the ferry to do Hudson Loop. For more information about the loop, click here.

So, go ahead, be a tourist in your NYC. Plan out your route and keep in mind that the Kids Ride Free! Then get out there to enjoy the city. You don’t have to be a tourist to do it!
