Where else would a wannabe actor perfect his or her craft but on a real stage? BergenPAC offers up some of the best instructors with resumes of impressive credits who will teach your kid to sing, act, dance and perform in their studios and then bring their skills to an audience under the lights of bergenPAC’s theater. Offering classes such as "Acting and Improv" and “Musical Theater” for kids ages 6 through teens plus private acting/vocal lessons and an opportunity to audition for their theatrical productions – your kid will gain the confidence and experience to be a star.
 
Saddle River Youth Theater (37 East Allendale Avenue, Allendale, 201-825-8805)
Bergen County’s longest running youth theater offers engaging workshops, starting with 2nd grade, for musicals such as Beauty and the Beast Jr. This program hones training into fun, crafted shows over a short period so kids can enroll for one semester and still enjoy a full experience. Kids ages 10 and older can also participate in company classes including acting, singing, or a combination of the two.

Whether you’ve got a shower singer or a little diva on your hands, Stage Left knows how to build confidence and stage presence in the Performing Arts. This not-for-profit, built on the passion of founder Ayn Lauren and executive director Francesca Lopez, empowers kids to be creative and build confidence through their musical performance workshops, dance classes and productions held all year-round.
 
Stage Right Theater Productions (First Presbyterian Church, 722 E. Ridgewood Ave.,)
Encourage your child’s love of performing through these semester-long workshops that aim to provide an authentic Broadway experience. Beginning at age 4 through age 17, kids are separated by age and grade and “audition” for a role in a performance. Stage right helps develop a well-rounded performer with all actors receiving a role that includes singing, dancing and acting. Musical theater workshops will be held virtually for the fall season.
 
Broadway Theater Workshops (45 North Broad Street, Suite 503, Ridgewood, 201-520-7233) Starting September 11, embark on a hilarious journey with the production of Sussical the Musical for grades 3-8. Your budding actor will enjoy fine-tuning their theater skills, an will build confidence, developing their singing and dancing passion and meet new thespians along the way. Everyone is part of the cast, while auditioning for each show allows even the youngest kids to develop their skills.
