Out with the old and in with the new! With a slew of new restaurants set to open in and around Bergen County, 2016 looks to be a most delicious year. Here are seven delicious dining spots you’ll want to discover.

American Cut Bar & Grill
Where: 495 Sylvan Avenue, Englewood Cliffs
When: March 2016
The Dish: Culinary wunderkind Chef Marc Forgione pays homage to his popular NYC steakhouse in this soon-to-open sister location. Prepare to get your meat on in a huge 1,000-square-foot space boasting indoor/outdoor seating, private dining rooms, state-of-the-art audio and visual systems, an elegant outdoor terrace with fire pits, and a performance stage.

Biddy O’Malley’s
Where: Englewood
When: Early 2016
The Dish: Owner Noel O’Malley is hoping he’s got the luck of the Irish with the opening of a second location of his hit Northvale gastropub. Located next to Bergen PAC in the old Terra space, expect a similar atmosphere and generally the same food and drink menus, though specials will differ.

White Maple Café
Where: Ridgewood
When: Spring 2016
The Dish: It’s a bit of a mystery what White Maple is all about, but here are a few appetizing clues we’ve uncovered: “New American,” “farm to table,” “food that’s simply prepared,” and “thoughtfully sourced local ingredients.”

Where: Rutherford
When: March 2016
The Dish: Restaurateur David Madison (previously of the Saddle River Inn) is at it again with local favorite Park and Orchard. After a complete renovation, the restaurant will soon be serving farm to table cuisine for a lunch and dinner crowd and offering a seasonal menu. Those who want to keep it casual can now eat at the bar which promises a lively scene.

Bici Restaurant
Where: Ramsey
When: January 2016
The Dish: Marcelo Gambarato and Anthony DeVanzo of Velo in Nyack have teamed up once again at this new spot in Ramsey. The eatery, located in the heart of the town, will be serving up a modern Italian menu. And judging from their loyal Nyack following, we expect that Ramsey residents will be welcoming this newcomer with ready palettes.

Distrito
Where: Closter
When: 2016
The Dish: Award-winning chef Jose Garces has opened another outpost of his mucho Mexican restaurant empire, this one in the soon to be revamped Closter Plaza. Serving elevated Mexican street food favorites like tacos, enchiladas, and ceviches in an eye-popping setting, be prepared to say olé!

Where: The Shops at Hudson Lights, Fort Lee
When: Early 2016
The Dish: This award-winning “artisanal Italian” joint—already a staple in upscale spots like Boca Raton, Scottsdale, and Westwood—is making it East Coast debut alongside iPic movie theaters, which will serve moviegoers selections from Tanzy’s menu as part of its premium viewing experience. Meanwhile, a standalone site adjacent to the theater will offer executive chef Bryan Podgorski’s full range of rustic Italian specialties, craft cocktails, and unexpected dining adventures.
